Capcom Drops Price for Resident Evil: Revelations in US

When Capcom announced that Resident Evil: Revelations would cost $49.99 in the United States – $10 more than most other Nintendo 3DS games – some gamers were put off that it cost almost as much as the average console game. However, Capcom has now reduced the impact on consumers’ wallets.

 Resident Evil: Revelations

Originally, the game had a higher price tag due to the fact that it uses a 4 gigabyte cartridge to hold all of its data, rather than the standard 2 gigabyte cartridge that the majority of 3DS games utilize. However, after complaints that the game cost too much, the company has announced that upon the game’s release, it will merely cost $39.99, the average price for many Nintendo 3DS games.

Hopefully, this will convince more gamers to purchase the game; it looks to be just as good as the console entries in the series, even moreso since it looks to be bringing horror back to the franchise. Resident Evil: Revelations launches in North America on February 7.
