At last year’s E3, Nintendo revealed the Wii U, and along with it, its tablet-like controller. Little has been seen of the console since then, but if a Traveller’s Tales employee is to be believed, the controller gotten a bit of a facelift since we last saw it.

The picture above was recently tweeted by a QA tester at Traveller’s Tales, along with the message “Nintendo fanboys alert: look what we have at work!” Going by this, TT Games has a Wii U development kit, but even more interesting is that its design is different from the controller revealed last June.

Above is a picture of the original Wii U controller. Notice how the version at TT Games has traditional analog sticks rather than 3DS-esque slide pads, and how the plus and minus buttons have been moved below the face buttons to allow for easier use. Also, a new square-shaped button is located below the directional pad; my guess is that it may be used for syncing the controller to different systems.

While it’s currently unknown if this is the final revision of the controller or if it’s simply an older, outdated revision, chances are we’ll discover its authenticity (or lack thereof) at this year’s E3.

Are you excited for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale? Do you own a PlayStation Vita? If your answer to both of those questions is “Yes,” then you may be happy to learn that the game may be coming to Sony’s latest handheld.

Robert Krekel, a sound designer employed by Sony Computer Entertainment America, recently mentioned on his LinkedIn profile that PlayStation All-Stars is a project he is currently working on, and that the game is coming to the Vita as well as the PlayStation 3. Previously, Krekel worked on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, the 2012 entry in the Twisted Metal series, and Starhawk.

If the game truly is coming to Vita, it may end up being a wise move for Sony, as it could help boost Vita sales, which have been lacking recently. It would also make sense due to the game’s director, Omar Kendall, telling Digital Trends to “stay tuned” after being asked about a Vita version of the game.

Regardless of whether or not the game is coming to the Vita, Sony is sure to show the game off at this year’s E3. Stay tuned to 4P for extensive E3 coverage.

When the fourth Sly Cooper game was announced at last year’s E3 for the PlayStation 3, many fans of the series were ecstatic that their favorite sneaky raccoon was being brought back from the dead. Now, they’ll be even happier to know that they can take the game wherever they want, as Sony has announced that Thieves in Time is not only coming to the PlayStation 3, but the PlayStation Vita as well.

Overall, the game plays the same on both consoles, as they have the same amount of content, and roughly the same visuals. However, the Vita version does make a few adjustments. While it drops the framerate from 60 frames per second to 30, it allows players to utilize the touch screen, touch pad, and gyroscope for changing outfits, aiming, and switching items. In addition, both versions use the same set of Trophies and save data, meaning that players can pick up from where they left off on the PS3 version when playing on the Vita, and vice-versa.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is currently in development by Sanzaru Games for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. A release date has yet to be announced for either version.

Borderlands 2 is one of the most anticipated titles of this year, which means gamers should expect the game to have all sorts of goodies released alongside it. In this case, such expectations have turned out to be true, as 2K Games has announced several items for fans of the series.

First up are pre-order bonuses. No matter which edition of the game you buy, or which platform you buy it for, all pre-orders come with exclusive access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club. This gives gamers a rare item from the Sanctuary Loot Chest, a Vault Hunter’s Relic that boosts the fortune that you and your friends amass, Gearbox-branded gold guns, and a free download of the post-release DLC character class, the Mechromancer.

For fans with more money to spend, 2K is releasing the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition. This comes with the game, a set of four stickers, a map of Pandora, a download of the game’s digital comic, a bobblehead of Marcus Kincaid, and a hardback book titled “Inside the Vault: The Art and Design of Borderlands 2.” This edition will set you back $99.99.

Finally, the most hardcore fans of the series will want to get the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition. It contains all of the contents of the Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition, and more: a replica of the standard Borderlands loot chest, an exclusive steelbook case for the game, four lithograph postcards, a cloth map of Pandora, a numbered certificate of authenticity, field notes from Sir Hammerlock, and a wide-format ID chart of the creatures of Pandora. Unfortunately, the set will put a big dent in your wallet, as it costs $149.99. At least it seems to be worth the price for the amount of items it includes.

Borderlands 2 is in development by Gearbox Software, and releases on September 18, 2012 in North America for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game will be released on September 21 in the United Kingdom.

The majority of the previous Halo games received a limited edition of some sort, so it’s hardly a surprise that 343 Industries has announced the limited edition of Halo 4.

Releasing alongside the standard edition of the game this fall, the limited edition will include a ton of goodies for Halo fans at a price of $99.99. The contents are as follows:

Nine multiplayer maps, rolled out in groups of three following the game’s release. Everyone will be able to purchase them, but limited edition-buyers receive the maps at no extra cost.

The ability to unlock six Specializations at launch, which will help achieve higher ranks and new customization options.

A UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet, which offers Halo fiction-lovers a chance to learn more about the UNSC Infinity and the Spartan-IV program.

The special edition of Halo: Forward Unto Dawn. Forward Unto Dawn is a prequel series of short films that shows the beginnings of one of the Infinity’s leaders. The special edition is an extended 90-minute-long version of the normal film, and also includes digital content that expands the film’s characters and a behind-the-scenes look at the film.

A unique in-game Spartan-IV skin, a unique in-game Assault Rifle skin, an exclusive in-game emblem, an Xbox Live avatar prop, and a set of Spartan-IV armor for your Xbox Live avatar.

A special steelbook case to hold the game itself.

Unlike previous games, Halo 4 will not be receiving a Legendary edition, so fans will only be able to choose from the standard and limited editions.

Halo 4 will be released in the United States on November 6, 2012 exclusively on Xbox 360.

With the recent success of Resident Evil: Revelations, it would hardly be surprising if Capcom were to create another game in the series for the system. Luckily for fans, that may be the case.

According to Polish website mwrc.pl, Digital Spy posted about Resident Evil: Regeneration-Damnation-Downfall 3D. The title is set to be released for the Nintendo 3DS, and consists of three features: a 3D version of 2008′s computer-generated film Resident Evil: Degeneration, a 3D version of the upcoming CG film Resident Evil: Damnation, and a new game titled Resident Evil: Downfall. If the site is to be believed, Downfall follows the story of Claire Redfield between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6, and shows her side of the world’s “downfall.”

For now, the collection is merely a rumor, but it does seem likely that Capcom would release another entry in the series for the Nintendo 3DS. If it does truly exist, then Capcom may choose to show it at this year’s E3.

Of more interest is an update to Mario Kart 7. The update is required for online play and fixes several glitches, including the infamous Maka Wuhu glitch which allows you to skip a good chunk of the track.

Years after being released in other territories, the New Play Control release of Pikmin 2 is finally coming to North America on June 10th. Despite never being released here, the game will be part of the budget-priced Nintendo Selects line of games, retailing for $19.99. Joining Pikmin 2 as a Nintendo Select will be New Play Control Mario Power Tennis, which was released back in 2009.

In addition, two best-selling Wii games will be getting a lower price. Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Donkey Kong Country Returns will be reduced to $29.99, though it’s not clear whether they’ll be released under the Nintendo Selects branding or not. If so, they’ll be retailing for $10 above the normal price.
